SAGE-AU was formed to advance the profession of System Administration by raising awareness of the need for System Administrators, and educating System Administrators in technical as well as professional issues. Our yearly conference provides a forum for System Administrators of all platforms and levels of experience to gather together and share their experiences. Further it provides an excellent opportunity to meet and network with acknowledged experts in the field.

Conference Theme: Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability

There are three main requirements on secure information systems, Confidentiality; Integrity and Availability. Information must only be accessible by those who are authorised to access it. Data must be accurate and must not change through storage or transfer to another system. Data must be available to authorised users upon demand.

These three requirements do not work in isolation. An authentication violation (integrity) can expose data to unauthorised parties (confidentiality) and those parties might then delete some of that information (availability).

The theme for this year's conference is based on the CIA model with a particular focus on the effects of internet content filtering.

Technical Program registration includes attendance for all of Thursday and Friday (including admission to the Conference Dinner),

Premium Technical Program registration includes technical program registration for Thursday and Friday (including admission to the Conference Dinner), a SAGE-AU letterman jacket, and an invitation to the conference wind down session - an invitation only cocktail party attended by speakers, guests and SAGE-AU executive.

Training Program

Our training (tutorial) program will be held Monday 10th August through Wednesday 12th August.

Technical Program

Our technical program will be held on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August.

Trade Exhibition
