Philip Saunders is a Senior Technical Consultant from the Technical Solutions Group of HP - Asia Pacific Japan region. His focus areas are in disaster tolerant storage solutions and next-generation adaptive infrastructure.

Philip has been working in IT for over ten years, but specifically involved in the storage world for the last seven. He originally joined Compaq back in early 2001 as a Storage Consultant with Compaq Global Services (Australia). Now a member of a much larger HP, Philip has been a core member of HPís Adaptive Infrastructure and IT Consolidation teams in the region for a number of years.

Philip also runs the HP Field Interoperability Testing Laboratory for the Asia Pacific Japan region, which is focused on helping HP become the worldwide leader in providing heterogeneous SAN Environment Support services to enterprise customers.

Prior to joining HP/Compaq, Philip was a Unix Systems Administrator by trade working at TNT Australia, Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales, World.Net and Central Queensland University. He is an active member of the Systems Administrators Guild of Australia (SAGE-AU) and a founding member of the Internet Society of Australia (ISOC-AU). He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Central Queensland University along with a number of unix and storage qualifications including HP Master ASE SAN Architect, Brocade Certified Fabric Professional and McData Certified Professional.

Philip is based in Sydney, Australia.
